Tech company VAILO signs on with Adelaide Giants
VAILO has continued their commitment to baseball by signing on as Co-Major Partner of the Adelaide Giants.
Baseball Australia recently announced VAILO as the ‘Official Lighting Partner’ of the ABL and Showcase, however, this new partnership with the Adelaide Giants represents a deeper connection to the baseball community, including sponsorship on the inaugural women’s Giants team uniform alongside Co-Major Partner SA Power Networks.
“VAILO is a proud South Australian company, and we are honoured to stand alongside SA Power Networks in recognising a significant milestone in the history of the Adelaide Giants baseball franchise,” said VAILO CEO Aaron Hickmann.
The SA-based company operates a high-tech facility in Kent Town. They manufacture LED screens and lighting but are also expanding to future technologies including IoT applications, 3D printing and commercial drone operations.
VAILO Chief Commercial Officer Nate Godfrey highlighted the synergies between VAILO and the game of baseball.
“VAILO’s export plans are focused on supplying ‘Australian-made’ products into markets like the USA – a country that is passionate about the game. We value our connection with baseball at all levels – from grassroots to elite,” said Godfrey.
The VAILO Australian Women’s Baseball Showcase is an important step on the pathway towards developing a professional women’s league in Australia. The country’s top female players, including stars of the Boral Australian Emeralds, will represent Adelaide and Brisbane across the four Showcase games starting April 3 in Adelaide.
Adelaide Giants Executive General Manager Shane Smallacombe says the club is excited to have such an innovative and progressive company on board with a sport trying to do innovative and progressive things.
“We are thrilled to welcome VAILO to the Adelaide Giants family, it is wonderful to have the support of a leading South Australian company to partner with us as we embark on innovating baseball with the Australian Women’s showcase”
All four games of the series will be broadcast on Foxtel and streamed on Kayo Sports. Game 1 is at 5:00 PM and Game 2 is at 7:30 PM.
