Lockleys Football Club, a local football club in Adelaide’s west, embarked on an upgrade project of their scoreboard at their home ground, Lockleys Oval. The aim was to replace their outdated manual scoreboard with a modern digital system, enhancing the overall experience for players, sponsors and spectators alike. The City of West Torrens was instrumental in facilitating this upgrade, providing essential support through civil works and approval processes.

The new VAILO scoreboard features a freestanding frame measuring 4.8m by 2.7m and a high-brightness P6 pixel pitch screen, ensuring clear visibility even under bright sunlight. A custom frame was designed specifically for the project to meet the unique requirements of Lockleys FC.

Key contractors BCE and PCB Digital played pivotal roles in the successful installation of the project. Additionally, VAILO designed and installed a specialised scoreboard operating system, providing Lockleys FC with a user-friendly and efficient control mechanism.

The new scoreboard is set to be a vital asset for the club, primarily used for displaying scores during football matches, enhancing the match-day atmosphere and providing a modern touch to the facilities at Lockleys Oval.

Through this upgrade, Lockleys FC has significantly improved their infrastructure, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the sporting experience for their community. The collaboration between the club, council, and contractors ensured the project’s success, delivering a state-of-the-art scoreboard that meets the club’s needs and expectations.
