Lowe Oval Precinct, home to the Springwood Pumas, recently received a significant upgrade led by T2 Electrical. The project was initiated by Logan City Council to improve the facilities for community sports and T2 Electrical selected VAILO‘s Zenith Gen-V luminaires and digital displays to package into their tender submission, replacing the oval’s outdated 12 metal halide lights.

The upgrade included four new poles with 28 luminaires mounted on custom headframes made by GM Poles, and a free-standing 5.6m x 3.6m VAILO digital display to be used as a scoreboard and for advertising.

The new lights have dramatically improved the lighting performance to over 200 lux, and at 10,000 nits the screen is easily seen during the day and night, surpassing expectations.

The new system is now used 2-3 nights a week for training, providing better visibility and safety for the team. The project was funded through a Logan City councillor’s budget, demonstrating local government support for community sports.

The collaboration between Logan City Council, T2 Electrical, GM Poles and VAILO has transformed Lowe Oval into a premier facility, offering long-term benefits to the Springwood Pumas and the broader community.
