The Talunga Park Oval project, led by the Barossa Council, is notable for its streamlined approach. VAILO initially met with the Barossa Council to discuss project needs and demonstrate a 100 lux lighting design. Following this, VAILO connected local electrical contractor, CME, with the council to provide turn-key costings, allowing the council to proceed immediately.

CME facilitated a smooth project execution with the upgrade, including the installation of four new Ingal EPS 25-metre poles, each equipped with four VAILO Zenith-Gen V 1500W luminaires, totaling 16 lights across the oval. This new setup replaced the old system, which had only four lights and an estimated level of 50 lux. The new lights now achieve a level of over 100 lux.

The project was driven by a clear need to improve the oval’s lighting conditions. The new lighting system promises to enhance illumination, supporting various community activities from sports to events. Additionally, the upgrade will save the council significant maintenance costs by eliminating the need to replace metal halides and replacing wires from bird damage thanks to VAILO’s signature internal wiring.

The Barossa Council recently upgraded the lighting system at Talunga Park Oval with VAILO lights, and the improvement has been phenomenal. 

The installation process was smooth and efficient, thanks to the professionalism of the CME and VAILO teams. Their attention to detail ensured that the lights were positioned perfectly, providing optimal coverage across the entire oval.

The quality of the lighting is outstanding. VAILO lights are bright and clear, enhancing visibility for evening games and events. Players and spectators alike have commented on how much easier it is to see everything on the field, making games more enjoyable and safer for everyone involved. 

One of the standout features of VAILO lights is that the wiring for the units is all internal, which is very efficient in the way of protecting the wiring from any potential bird (chewing) damage. Additionally, the smart control systems allow for easy operation of the lights.

Overall, the VAILO lights have greatly enhanced the functionality and appeal of Talunga Park Oval. We couldn’t be happier with the upgrade and highly recommend VAILO for any outdoor lighting needs.
