The Ward Oval grounds in Cobar, NSW, are owned and managed by the Cobar Shire Council. Various local sports organisations use the grounds, including the Cobar District Cricket Association, Cobar Netball Association, Cobar Junior Netball Association, Cobar Little Athletics, and Cobar Junior Soccer.

REES Electrical secured the tender for the lighting upgrade of the two ovals and three netball courts. Their proposal featured VAILO’s 1500W Zenith Gen-V luminaires, which impressed the council with a 10-year luminaire warranty.

The project involved installing all new poles. REES collaborated with GM Poles to provide four 15-metre poles for the netball courts, four 30-metre poles for field one, and four 25-metre poles for field two.

REES installed a total of 84 VAILO Zenith Gen-V luminaires across the two playing fields and three netball courts, exceeding 200 lux.
