Established in 2012 by visionary CEO Aaron Hickmann, VAILO started as a lighting wholesaler, underpinned by a steadfast vision to propel high-tech manufacturing within Australia. In 2022, Aaron’s vision came to life, and the company transitioned from importer to manufacturer.
VAILO’s HQ in Kent Town, South Australia houses the manufacturing of VAILO’s high-performance lighting products. With a focus on product quality, every lighting product manufactured is 100% inspected and then stress-tested in a custom-designed test facility before being ready to despatch.
VAILO’s flagship stadium light, the Zenith Gen-V is the first product made in Australia, with others to follow. Accelerating high-tech manufacturing in Australia creates considerable local jobs while saving clients substantial lead time and delivery costs thanks to VAILO’s geographical proximity.

Zenith Gen-V
Australian designed and manufactured with one of the lowest-in-class weights of 24kg. The Zenith Gen-V offers ultra-high efficiency with up to 131 lumens per watt, taking sports lighting performance to the next level. The 1500W floodlight received a prestigious Good Design Award Winner Accolade in the Product Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation.
Thanks to the Zenith Gen-V, VAILO ranked 6th in the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies (Manufacturing & Consumer Goods), having been selected from over 60 companies in the category and more than 700 nominated companies in the list across Australia and New Zealand.
