VAILO Adelaide 500

In 2022, VAILO was named the official naming rights partner and awarded a three-year contract to supply digital displays for the VAILO Adelaide 500.

We’ve seen the positive impact the race has had on the local economy, and being an Australian company that supports local, there are several reasons we felt aligned to this partnership:

VAILO specialises in LED lighting and digital displays for sports, including motorsport.

Just as VAILO brought advanced manufacturing back to South Australia, the VAILO Adelaide 500 made its return to the state in 2022.

Motorsport is a high-performance team sport, and VAILO produces high-performance products and emphasises valuing its team like family.

After successfully securing the super screen contract for this prestigious event, VAILO installed some of the most energy-efficient and brightest digital screens available on the market.

In 2022, 30 LED displays were installed across 22 locations around the track, and in 2023, the installation increased to 34 screens across 26 sites. The largest screens, measuring 8m x 4.5m, were placed on the cube and triple screen structures at either end of pit straight, weighing an impressive 19 tonnes.

VAILO is excited to supply its digital displays to the event again for 2024.

Our affiliation with motorsport also extends into other projects and partnerships.

VAILO was introduced into motorsport in 2022, as Official Technology Partner of Walkinshaw Andretti United for two years.

During the 2022 VAILO Adelaide 500, we partnered with up-and-coming local South Australian racer Brad Gartner and former F1 three-time winner Giancarlo Fisichella in the S5000 Tasman Series at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

In 2023, VAILO was one of the digital display contractors for the OTR SuperSprint, supplying three mobile digital displays and one 7×4 and two 5×3 LED digital displays for spectators around the track.

The Dragway at The Bend was completed in late 2023 with VAILO, the chosen light and screen contractor, supplying 251 Zenith Gen-V 1500W luminaires and 270 sqm of LED digital displays for the major project.

More recently, VAILO was part of the Tolmer Speedway upgrade, installing 56 Zenith Gen V fittings. The speedway is an exact replica of the I-55 Raceway in Missouri, USAconsidered to be one of the best in the world.
