VAILO Adelaide 500

VAILO Adelaide 500 motorsport event

Announced in 2022, VAILO was awarded the naming rights partner of the VAILO Adelaide 500 for three years.

We’ve seen the positive impact the race has had on the local economy, and being a South Australian company that supports local, there are a number of reasons we felt aligned to this partnership:

VAILO specialises in LED lighting and digital displays for sports, including motorsport.

Just as VAILO brought back advanced manufacturing to South Australia, the VAILO Adelaide 500 was returned to the state in 2022.

Motorsport is a high-performance team sport, and VAILO produces high-performance products and emphasises valuing its team like family.

VAILO also successfully secured the contract to supply cutting-edge digital displays for the prestigious event, installing some of the most energy-efficient and brightest screens available on the market to date.

In total, 30 LED digital displays were installed around the track in 22 separate installations in 2022.

The largest screens were 8m x 4.5m, located on the cube and the triple screen structures at either end of pit straight, weighing a whopping 19 tonnes. Read more here.

VAILO is excited to supply its digital displays to the event again in 2023.

The light of speed

Our affiliation with motorsport also extends into other projects and partnerships.

VAILO was introduced into motorsport in 2022, securing a two-year Walkinshaw Andretti United as Official Technology Partner.

During the 2022 VAILO Adelaide 500, we partnered with up-and-coming local South Australian racer Brad Gartner and former F1 three-time winner Giancarlo Fisichella in the S5000 Tasman Series at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

In 2023, VAILO was one of the digital display contractors for the OTR SuperSprint, supplying three mobile digital displays and one 7×4 and two 5×3 LED digital displays for spectators around the track.

The Dragway at The Bend was completed in late 2023 with VAILO, the chosen light and screen contractor, supplying 251 Zenith Gen-V 1500W luminaires and 270 sqm of LED digital displays for the major project.
